Physical Development in Preschoolers
This course offers an in-depth exploration of how preschool-aged children grow and develop physically, emphasizing the profound connection between motor development, emotional well-being, and cognitive readiness. Participants will examine the milestones of gross and fine motor development, the impact of movement on brain function, and the ways in which physical activity supports learning, self-regulation, and social connection. Through a lens of inclusion and relational care, the course highlights how thoughtfully designed environments and responsive adult interactions can foster physical competence and confidence in all children. Educators will gain practical strategies for integrating movement into daily routines, adapting activities to meet diverse needs, and creating emotionally safe spaces where every child can explore, play, and thrive.
