Birth to Three: The Importance of Physical Activity
This course explores the critical role of physical activity in supporting the health, development, and well-being of children from birth to age three. Designed for early childhood professionals and caregivers the course emphasizes movement as a central driver of learning, brain development, emotional regulation, and relational connection during the earliest years of life. The course highlights how movement supports motor skill acquisition, sensory integration, language development, and social-emotional growth. Special focus is placed on creating safe, inclusive environments that promote autonomy, exploration, and caregiver-child interaction in both home and group care settings. (1 hour)
