This course highlights the need to provide children with a stable and secure environment—essential elements for their emotional well-being and cognitive development. We examine the impact of a child’s interaction with family members and educators on their social understanding, behavior, and the formation of their unique identity. Adopting an inclusive and respectful approach, the course recognizes the diverse cultural backgrounds that families bring. We emphasize the necessity of establishing and maintaining reciprocal relationships with the families of our young learners. (10 hours)
