Approaches to Supporting Families Under Adversity
Families navigating adversity, including those with military affiliations, often encounter complex challenges that may compromise their stability, well-being, and access to supportive resources. Military families, in particular, experience distinctive stressors such as frequent relocations, extended separations, reintegration transitions, and the emotional impact of service-related trauma. These factors can significantly influence family dynamics, child development, and caregiver capacity. This course is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the diverse experiences and needs of families facing adversity, with a focused lens on military-connected households. (2 hours)
