Ethical Practices in Early Care and Education
This course explores the principles of ethical and responsible conduct in early childhood and out-of-school care environments. Participants will examine the significance of ethical behavior in daily interactions with children, families, and colleagues, and reflect on the values that shape professional integrity and relational safety. Participants will deepen their understanding of what it means to be an ethical staff member. The course emphasizes the importance of respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices that honor the dignity and agency of every child and family. Participants will identify key ethical considerations in caregiving relationships, including confidentiality, boundaries, equity, and advocacy. (1 hour)
