Calm Minds and Bodies: Teaching Mindfulness to Children
Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing. This means that we notice our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and the environment around us. According to a new study, teaching mindfulness activities can calm the mind and body, increase a child's ability to stay engaged and develop self-regulation. In this course, we will discuss simple mindfulness techniques that you can incorporate in the classroom, which includes breathing exercises and mindful play activities. (2 hours)
